Pharma Medica Research is a full-service contract research organization specialized in conducting early-phase clinical trials in healthy volunteers, special and patient populations. We are currently looking for a Lab Support Services Assistant to join our Bioanalytical Lab in Mississauga.

Duties and Responsibilities:

- Perform sample receipt, sorting, storage, and disposal/return of all study samples and complete all associated paperwork.
- Calibrator and QC sample storage and requests for Validations as required by laboratory staff.
- Study Sample Requests as required by laboratory staff.
- Maintain automated temperature monitoring system for freezers, refrigerators and drug vault including informing management of any out-of-specification occurrences.
- Maintain a database of blank biological matrix, Calibrator/QC pool inventory and study sample inventory.




- Ensure that the Bioanalytical Sample Accession Laboratory is stocked with adequate supplies. Inform supervisor of low inventory levels of supplies to ensure stock is replenished on a timely basis.
- Work in a safe manner, complying with all relevant safety procedures, requirements and SOPs.
- Other duties as required

Requirements:

- Post-secondary education focused on lab services
- Working experience in handling hazardous chemicals and biological waste, cleaning glassware and providing assistance to a Laboratory Supervisor.
- Valuable communication skills including good English verbal and written skills.
- Computer “literate” as required by the position in the use of spreadsheets.
- Able to work both independently and as a member of a team.
