About the role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and results-driven Recycled Auto Part Sales Person to join our sales team at our Athol Park location in South Australia. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in driving revenue and building robust customer relationships. You will be the face of Athol Park Ford Wreckers, engaging with customers, understanding their automotive needs, and providing expert recommendations on our recycled parts inventory.

This position is essential to our continued growth and success in the competitive automotive recycling sector.

Key responsibilities

- Generate sales by actively engaging with customers both in-person and via telephone to identify their automotive part requirements
- Provide knowledgeable and accurate product information about recycled auto parts, including condition, fitment and pricing
- Build and maintain strong relationships with regular customers, mechanics, panel beaters and trade partners to encourage repeat business




- Process customer orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring timely delivery or collection of parts
- Assist customers in locating specific parts from our inventory, utilising our systems and technical knowledge
- Achieve and exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets and KPIs
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues professionally to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction
- Maintain accurate records of sales transactions and customer information
- Collaborate with the warehouse and logistics team to ensure efficient part retrieval and dispatch
- Stay updated on current inventory levels and communicate stock availability to customers

What we're looking for

- Proven experience in sales, ideally within the automotive, parts supply or recycling industry
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with diverse customer bases
- A genuine passion for automobiles and automotive parts
- Proficiency in using sales systems and computer software; experience with inventory management systems is advantageous
- Ability to meet and exceed sales targets whilst maintaining high customer satisfaction levels
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail




- A proactive attitude with a drive to succeed and willingness to take on new challenges
- Valid driver's licence and reliable transportation
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
- Previous experience in the automotive recycling or dismantling sector is highly desirable but not essential – we are willing to train the right candidate
