About the role

We are seeking a compassionate and clinically confident Registered Nurse to join our growing team. You will play a central role in the safe delivery of emerging psychiatric treatments, supporting clients through their mental health care.

Daintree Psychiatry offers esketamine therapy, repetitive Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (rTMS) and a psychedelic-assisted psychotherapy program.

The nature of this work offers exposure to treatments that few nurses in Australia have the opportunity to deliver. You will be fully supported to gain the training, accreditations and certificates needed to work confidently across our programs, including:

- Comprehensive cross-training and competency certification in Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (rTMS).
- Esketamine administration, monitoring and S8 medication management.
- Training and hands-on experience within our psychedelic-assisted therapy program.
- Clinical development alongside experienced Psychiatrists.

Key responsibilities

- Safely administer, store, order and monitor Schedule 8 (S8) medications, including esketamine,



in line with the Medicines and Poisons Act 2019 (Qld) and the Substance Management Plan
- Conduct clinical monitoring (blood pressure, pulse, temperature) and support clients to feel safe and at ease throughout each session
- Maintain accurate, contemporaneous clinical documentation across all treatment sessions
- Deliver TMS treatments as directed by the treating Psychiatrist
- Assist with the psychedelic-assisted therapy program, providing trauma-informed care
- Collaborate closely with Psychiatrists, management, pharmacy partners and the wider Daintree team

About you

- You are a warm, unhurried and attentive clinician who values patient safety, regulatory compliance and teamwork. You will bring:
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA (Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia), without conditions.
- Sound knowledge of S8 medicines management and clinical observations.
- Mental health nursing experience (highly regarded, but not essential).
- An interest in emerging and innovative psychiatric treatments.
- Excellent communication skills and a genuine, compassionate approach to client care.
- An ABN and appropriate professional indemnity insurance (for contractor engagement).
