Doherty Contracting is seeking a reliable and experienced Truck Driver to support its ongoing operations in Western Australia.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of materials, equipment and supplies to and from worksites, ensuring deliveries are completed on time and in accordance with safety requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate trucks safely to transport materials, equipment and supplies between worksites and other designated locations.
- Load, unload and secure cargo in accordance with safety requirements.
- Conduct pre-start and routine vehicle inspections and report any defects or maintenance issues.
- Plan routes and coordinate deliveries to meet operational schedules.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, vehicle inspections and driving activities.
- Comply with road transport laws, workplace health and safety requirements and company procedures.
- Communicate with site personnel and management regarding delivery schedules and transport requirements.
Skills and Experience
- Relevant truck driving experience.
- Appropriate and valid heavy vehicle licence for the vehicles operated.
- Good knowledge of road safety and vehicle operation procedures.
- Ability to follow instructions, manage delivery schedules and work independently.
- A reliable, safety-conscious and responsible approach to work.
