Executive / Associate Pastor | Encounter Church (Gawler, SA)

Position: Full-Time (38 hours/week)

Role Type: Executive Pastor (12-month Maternity Leave Cover) transitioning into long-term Associate Pastor

Location: Gawler Campus / Multi-site

About the Role:

Encounter Church is seeking an experienced, high-capacity leader to join our pastoral team. This full time position begins with a 12-month Executive Pastor maternity cover—overseeing church operations, finance/CAFs, compliance, multi-site logistics, and staff leadership. Following the cover period, the role transitions into a long-term Associate Pastor position focusing on pastoral leadership, demographic pastors, preaching, discipleship content, and volunteer engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

- Operational management, finance, and staff leadership
- Pastoral care, small group ministry,



and discipleship
- Preaching, teaching, and content development

Qualifications & Experience:

- ACC Minister’s Credential (or willingness to obtain) with current Working with Children Check.
- Proven track record in church operations, financial management, and organisational governance.
- Demonstrated experience in multi-campus operations, pastoral care, preaching, and volunteer mobilisation.
