- Conduct on site verification of competencies to confirm personnel possess the required skills, knowledge and practical ability to perform tasks safely and in accordance with site requirements and procedures.
- Analyse incidents, hazards and HSEQ performance data to identify trends, recurring issues and opportunities for improvement.
- Prepare weekly and monthly HSEQ reports using relevant reporting systems and data analysis tools, including Power BI, translating data into meaningful insights and practical improvement actions.
- Support risk assessments, critical control verification and the implementation and monitoring of effective risk controls.
- Conduct audits and assurance activities to verify compliance with Minprovise requirements, client standards, the Work Health and Safety Act 2020 (WA), Work Health and Safety (Mines) Regulations 2022 and relevant environmental requirements.
- Work collaboratively with operational leadership to support the safe planning and execution of shutdown, maintenance and project activities.
- Support the implementation and continuous improvement of HSEQ systems, processes and standards across operations.
What You’ll Bring
- A relevant tertiary or Certificate-level qualification in Work Health and Safety.
- A Training and Assessment qualification is mandatory.
- A minimum of two years’ demonstrated HSEQ experience within mining, heavy industry or a comparable high-risk environment.
- Previous FIFO and/or shutdown experience is highly regarded.
- Sound knowledge of Australian and Western Australian WHS legislation, mining requirements and relevant environmental obligations.
- Demonstrated experience in incident investigation, risk management and field-based HSEQ activities.
- Experience using HSEQ management systems and reporting tools,
with exposure to Power BI or similar data analysis platforms highly regarded.
- Robust communication skills and the ability to build effective working relationships with personnel at all levels.
