The Opportunity
A beef processing facility in the Kimberley region of WA, located between Derby and Broome, is reopening and building its maintenance team from the ground up. They're looking for an experienced Industrial Electrician to keep the plant running safely and reliably.
You'll report to the Maintenance Manager and look after all electrical systems across the processing facility and on-site accommodation. This is a hands-on role where you'll have a real say in how the site's maintenance is set up. You'll be a valued part of the team, not just another name on a roster.
Relocation support and accommodation are provided.
What you'll be doing
- Preventative and breakdown maintenance on the electrical side of refrigeration, compressed air, water, fire and power systems
- Fault finding and repair on production machinery and control systems
- Maintaining motors, drives, PLCs, sensors and control panels
- Supporting commissioning of new equipment, shutdowns and capital upgrades
- Applying isolation, LOTO and permit systems, and contributing to risk assessments and safety meetings
- Working within food safety and hygiene standards and supporting audits
- Recording maintenance activity accurately and identifying reliability improvements, including root cause analysis
What you'll bring
Essential:
- Current WA Electrical Licence, or the ability to obtain one if relocating from interstate
- Industrial maintenance experience
- Strong fault finding skills
- Working knowledge of PLCs and control systems
- Full Australian working rights (visa sponsorship is not available)
Highly regarded:
- Meat processing or FMCG manufacturing experience
- Refrigeration electrical experience
- Instrumentation skills
- CMMS experience
You're safety-focused, reliable and calm under pressure. You also enjoy solving problems and working as part of a tight-knit team. Most of all, you're up for a regional lifestyle and the chance to help bring a plant back to life.
What's on offer
- Full-time role on a 7-day roster
- Relocation assistance and accommodation provided
- The chance to shape maintenance practices at a reopening site
- Kimberley lifestyle: fishing, the outdoors, and Broome within reach
