An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Groundsperson to join a Queensland Government department in the Ipswich region.

This is a great prospect for a skilled parks and gardens professional to secure an assignment within the state government sector, maintaining outdoor areas and ensuring grounds are presented to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities

- Mowing, edging, whipper snipping and general lawn care.
- Gardening, landscaping and maintaining garden beds and landscaped areas.
- Undertaking general grounds and property maintenance.
- Operating skid steers and other relevant machinery.
- Performing tree and vegetation maintenance, including chainsaw work.
- Maintaining large outdoor areas to a high standard.
- Identifying and reporting maintenance issues and hazards.
- Complying with workplace health and safety (WHS) procedures and site requirements.

Skills & Experience

To be successful in this role, you will have:

- Demonstrated experience in commercial groundskeeping, parks and gardens, landscaping or property maintenance.
- Current C Class




- Skid steer competency or relevant licence, as required.
- Chainsaw safety accreditation.
- Current Blue Card.
- A strong commitment to safety, reliability and maintaining high standards.
- The ability to work independently and manage tasks effectively.

What’s on Offer:

- $41.63/hour (casual) + superannuation – Civil Labourer
- Local Ipswich-based work
- Monday to Friday 6:00am to 2:00pm
- Initial 3-month assignment, with the possibility of extension and potential for permanency
