Salary: $75,000–$85,000 per annum plus superannuation
Transglaze Pty Ltd specialises in window and glazing solutions for the public transport, architecture and construction industries. We are seeking a skilled and motivated Glazier to join our team on a full-time basis at our Dandenong South facility.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
The successful applicant will be responsible for:
- Determining the type, size and dimensions of glass required for specific projects.
- Measuring, marking and cutting glass to the required specifications using patterns and templates.
- Laying glass over patterns on padded tables and positioning glass in jigs for processing.
- Inspecting glass for defects and marking areas requiring removal or correction.
- Breaking off excess glass using appropriate notched tools and equipment.
- Installing glass and mirrors in windows and other designated applications.
- Smoothing and finishing rough glass edges using belt sanders and other suitable equipment.
- Coating, etching, trimming and treating glass to achieve specified finishes and special effects.
- Following workplace health and safety requirements when handling, processing and installing glass.
Skills or Experience Required:
Applicants should possess:
- A relevant AQF Certificate III, AQF Certificate IV qualification, and/or at least three years of full-time work experience in a similar glazing role.
- A sound understanding of workplace health and safety requirements relevant to glazing operations.
- Solid attention to detail and the ability to achieve accurate measurements and high-quality finishes.
- The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
