We're looking for a friendly, hands-on Cook to join an aged care community in remote Far North Queensland. This is an opportunity to embrace remote community living, bring your cooking skills to the table and become part of a community where good food and genuine care go a long way.

What's cooking?

You'll prepare nutritious, home-style meals for around 30 aged care residents, plus a small number of independent living residents. Working independently, you'll keep the kitchen running smoothly and make mealtimes something residents can look forward to.

Your day will include:

- Preparing wholesome, delicious meals with a home-cooked feel.
- Keeping the kitchen clean, safe and organised.
- Helping plan menus alongside a Nutritionist.

- Careful coordination of food supplies and planning for remote deliveries and stock needs.

- Creating a warm, welcoming mealtime experience for residents.

A little about you

- You have experience cooking for groups of people.
- You're organised,



reliable and happy to roll up your sleeves.
- You bring a caring, patient and supportive approach to working with older people.
- You understand food safety, hygiene and kitchen cleanliness.
- You're adaptable, resourceful and confident working independently.
- You're genuinely interested in living and working in a remote community long term.

A Food Safety Supervisor Certificate is required, with support potentially available to obtain one. You don't need to be a qualified Chef — practical cooking skills, a positive attitude and a caring nature are what really count!
