Mirani State High School is located in the heart of the Pioneer Valley west of Mackay. The school prides itself on the close links that have been developed with business, industry and community organisations throughout the Pioneer Valley and the broader Mackay community to further enhance opportunities available to our students. Mirani State High School has developed a proud reputation for excellence in academic, cultural and sporting achievement. The school is located in the Pioneer Valley and draws students from 10 primary schools. The school offers a wide range of educational programs which provide students with a balanced education for life in the 21st Century. We offer a range of General subjects and Applied subjects to meet the learning needs of our students.
About the Role
Responsibilities include, but not limited to: * Provide strategic leadership to develop and implement a shared educational vision that promotes inclusive practices, equity and quality learning outcomes for all students. * Embed socially just and inclusive practices in daily school life, ensuring high expectations for student achievement, staff performance and continuous improvement. * Build staff capability and foster a culture of lifelong learning, career development,



collaboration and evidence-informed practice. * Establish and maintain strong partnerships with students, parents, government agencies and community organisations to enhance student learning, engagement and wellbeing. * Demonstrate future-focused leadership by aligning departmental priorities with the school's strategic direction, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and policies, and effectively managing human, financial, facilities and curriculum resources to achieve departmental goals.
