Job Description

The Payroll Officer will be responsible for:

- End-to-end payroll processing across regular pay cycles
- Providing payroll advice and support to employees and managers
- Maintaining accurate employee payroll records and documentation
- Interpreting time and attendance data to ensure accurate payroll outcomes
- Assisting with payroll compliance, superannuation, taxation and legislative requirements
- Investigating and resolving payroll discrepancies and system-related issues
- Supporting continuous improvement initiatives and payroll process enhancements
- Collaborating with HR, systems, reporting and compliance teams to achieve payroll objectives





The Successful Applicant

The successful Payroll Officer should have:

- Previous payroll experience within a medium-to-large organisation
- Strong understanding of payroll legislation, compliance requirements and best practice
- Experience working with payroll and HRIS systems
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Solid customer service and stakeholder management skills
- The ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
- A proactive, team-focused approach with a continuous improvement mindset
- Intermediate Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel
