A high-profile Federal Government Department is seeking an experienced Software Tester to support the development, deployment and ongoing enhancement of critical ICT applications. You will work across system testing, integration testing, user acceptance testing and defect management, ensuring high-quality software solutions are delivered within a secure Government environment. The successful Software Tester will be offered an initial 12-month contract with the view to be extended, based onsite in Canberra or Adelaide.
The successful Software Tester will be responsible for, but not limited to:
- Develop and execute test plans, test cases and test data across complex software applications.
- Perform system, integration and user acceptance testing across multiple applications and environments.
- Identify, document and track software defects using JIRA and TestRay.
- Prepare test reports, document acceptance criteria and collaborate with technical and business stakeholders.
The successful Software Tester will have experience in the following:
- Software testing methodologies, including Agile and Waterfall delivery environments.
- Integration, system and user acceptance testing across enterprise applications.
- Test planning, test execution, defect management and reporting.
- Using JIRA and TestRay to manage software testing activities.
Candidates must hold an ISTQB Foundation Testing qualification or higher. Experience testing bespoke applications and integrating commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) systems will be highly regarded. An IT-related degree will also be advantageous.
Candidates must hold a current Positive Vetting (PV) security clearance.
