TP Human Capital is currently recruiting for an experienced Payroll Officer for a site-based, drive-in drive-out (DIDO) role, travelling from Townsville. Working a 4/3 roster with 12-hour shifts, you will support payroll operations within an established organisation, contributing to the accurate and timely processing of payroll and associated reporting.

This opportunity will suit someone with strong payroll experience, excellent attention to detail and the ability to work independently in a site-based environment.
Key Responsibilities

- Process and maintain accurate payroll data, working with internal stakeholders and external providers as required.
- Ensure payroll transactions comply with relevant awards, enterprise agreements, policies and legislation.
- Validate contracts, pay rates, leave entitlements and termination payments.
- Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies and system issues.
- Provide payroll advice and support to employees, managers and other stakeholders.
- Assist with award calculations, annualised salaries and leave entitlements.
- Respond to payroll-related enquiries and assist with reporting requirements.
- Identify opportunities to improve payroll processes, reporting and data analysis, including the use of AI where appropriate.





About You
The successful candidate will have:

- A sound understanding of awards, enterprise agreements and payroll legislation.
- Experience with SAP and INX systems will be highly regarded.
- Solid computer skills, particularly in spreadsheets, reporting and data analysis.
- An interest in AI and its application to payroll reporting, with experience or a willingness to develop these skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach to problem-solving.
- Solid communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a range of stakeholders.
- The ability to manage confidential information and work both independently and as part of a team.
- Availability to work a site-based 4/3 roster with 12-hour shifts.
