Two openings in the first-line operational risk team of a leading Australian Bank.

Join a dynamic Operational Risk Advisory team supporting a technology-driven banking division. The risk advisory team provides expert operational risk advice, drives key risk initiatives and uplifts the risk and control framework. Through close partnership with the business, it helps manage risk effectively and fosters a culture of continuous improvement.

Two roles are available, each aligned to a different part of the business:

- Banking Products: partnering with the retail and business banking teams

- Wealth and Enterprise: partnering with wealth management and enterprise functions (e.g. Treasury and Regulatory Reporting)

The role

You will work with colleagues across your business area to give practical operational risk advice and support the delivery of critical projects. You will:

- Help drive the implementation of obligations management mapping across the business

- Contribute to key risk management activities, including risk approval processes and control enhancements

- Partner with a diverse range of stakeholders to assess and monitor risk performance

- Strengthen and evolve risk management practices,



helping build a robust and effective risk framework in a dynamic, fast-paced setting

About you

- Operational risk management experience in retail/business banking or wealth management or enterprise functions such as Treasury and Regulatory Reporting

- A strong grasp of operational risk practices and frameworks, including the principles of effective control design

- Proven ability to build relationships and influence a wide range of stakeholders

- Excellent communication skills, able to explain complex information clearly and concisely

- Keen attention to detail, with a strategic and creative approach to problem-solving

- Obligations management mapping experience in the relevant area is preferred
