The Opportunity
An established Tier 1 mechanical services contractor is looking for a technically strong Senior Mechanical Engineer (HVAC) to join their growing team.
With a strong portfolio of major projects across Australia, the business delivers complex mechanical services solutions across healthcare, data centres and large-scale commercial developments.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Senior Engineer with experience delivering large-scale HVAC projects who can take ownership of design delivery, lead projects and build strong relationships with clients, consultants and internal stakeholders.
You'll play a key role in delivering technically challenging projects, providing engineering expertise and contributing to the ongoing success of a high-performing team.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead the mechanical design and engineering delivery of large-scale HVAC projects from concept through to detailed design and construction.
- Develop and review HVAC designs, calculations, specifications,
drawings and technical documentation to ensure compliance with project requirements and relevant Australian Standards.
- Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors and multidisciplinary project teams to resolve technical issues and ensure successful project delivery.
- Provide technical leadership, mentoring and guidance to junior engineers and design team members.
- Manage design deliverables, project milestones and client expectations while maintaining high standards of technical quality and commercial performance.
Key Requirements
- Degree-qualified in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Extensive experience in mechanical building services design, with a strong background in HVAC systems.
- Proven track record delivering large-scale projects across sectors such as healthcare, data centres or major commercial developments.
- Demonstrated experience leading projects, coordinating design teams and managing technical deliverables.
- Strong client-facing and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships, present technical solutions and collaborate effectively with stakeholders.
