Olivet Care supports elderly persons to maintain their sense of self, Olivet Care provides a variety of aged care services and programs for every stage of the ageing journey. our services include Aged Care Day Programs, Residential Aged Care, Home Care Services, Residential Respite Care, and Dementia & Memory Support.

The Role
We’re seeking compassionate, committed Home Care Workers to join our community care team. This is a hands-on role supporting clients with domestic assistance, personal care, transport, and social support under a Client Directed Care (CDC) model.

Key Responsibilities

? Domestic Tasks

- Assist with light household duties (laundry, ironing, changing bed linen, cleaning)

- Meal preparation and basic cooking

- Grocery shopping and bill payment assistance

- Accompanied and unaccompanied transport to appointments

- Support participation in community, social and recreational activities

- Monitor and report on client health, wellbeing, and setting

? Personal Care

- Support with showering, dressing, grooming, and continence

- Supervise and assist with medication

- Provide respite care and support clients’ independence

- Encourage client involvement in their own care

?️ Safety & Compliance

- Maintain WHS standards and use PPE as required

- Report hazards and incidents promptly

- Attend mandatory training (e.g., manual handling)

- Ability to follow care plans and report client changes

- Understanding of privacy, dignity, and confidentiality principles

- Good time management and initiative

- Comfortable with basic technology (email, apps, eLearning)

Essential Requirements
✅ Certificate III in Individual Support, Aged Care, Home & Community Care, or higher (for Personal Care roles)
✅ Current Level 2 First Aid Certificate
✅ Driver’s licence + registered, insured vehicle
✅ Smartphone (Apple or Android)
✅ National Police Check / NDIS Worker Screening
✅ Up-to-date COVID-19 and Flu Vaccinations
✅ Right to work in Australia

Desirable
⭐ Certificate IV in Disability or higher
⭐ CPR certification
⭐ Experience in aged care or disability support
⭐ Skills in domestic and social care support
