You'll work in a clean workshop, fabricating trolleys and other manual handling equipment, primarily from light gauge mild steel. This is a full-time, permanent position with Monday–Friday hours, finishing at 1 pm on Fridays.
Key responsibilities
- Fabricating light gauge mild steel products, mostly 1.6–3 mm, rarely over 8mm
- MIG welding mild steel, with some stainless steel/aluminium welding for specific projects
- Reading and working from technical drawings
- Checking your work for accuracy, weld quality and finish
- Maintaining a clean, protected and organised work area
About you
- Relevant experience in light steel fabrication and MIG welding
- TIG welding stainless steel/aluminium experience is an advantage but not essential
- The ability to read and interpret technical drawings
- Attention to detail and consistent workmanship
- A practical approach and willingness to contribute to the team
- Local and have the right to work in Australia
