Parabellum International is seeking an experienced Aviation Firefighter / Emergency Services Officer (ESO) to support operations at Coondewanna Airport.

Offering a competitive hourly rate plus superannuation, this ongoing casual FIFO opportunity is ideal for a motivated emergency services professional looking to put their skills and experience to work in a critical operational environment.

Working Monday to Friday on 12-hour shifts, you'll provide dedicated emergency response capability, support airport operations and share your knowledge to help strengthen emergency preparedness across the team.

About the Role
As the Aviation Firefighter / ESO, you'll be responsible for maintaining an operational emergency response capability at Coondewanna Airport, ensuring you're prepared to respond to emergency incidents whenever required.

Working alongside airport personnel, you'll play an important role in supporting site safety, emergency readiness and operational activities.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Maintaining readiness to respond to emergency incidents at Coondewanna Airport.
- Operating and utilizing the Compressed Air Foam System (CAFS) unit as required.
- Providing operational emergency response capability throughout your rostered hours.
- Attending daily pre-start meetings and other operational meetings as required.
- Coordinating daily airport transport with airport staff.
- Supporting emergency preparedness and promoting protected work practices.
- Sharing your knowledge, practical experience and recommendations to help build the team's emergency response capability.

About You

To be successful in this role, you must have:

- A minimum of 1 year of aviation firefighting experience (essential).
- The ability to maintain operational readiness and respond effectively to emergency incidents.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with airport personnel.
- A proactive, safety-focused approach and the confidence to work independently.
- The ability to share your knowledge and practical experience to support the development of the wider team.

Previous experience operating firefighting equipment, including CAFS units, will be highly regarded.

Essential Qualifications & Experience
To be considered for this opportunity, you must have:

- Minimum 1 year of aviation firefighting experience (essential).
- Certificate III in Emergency Response and Rescue.
- Current Heavy Rigid (HR) driver's license.

Desirable:

- HLTPAT005 – Collect Specimens for Drugs of Abuse Testing (preferred, but not essential).
