About the role
We're looking for a Registered Nurse to join our practice nursing team four days a week on a 12-month fixed-term contract, covering a period of parental leave. You'll work alongside our GPs and nurses across a wide range of general practice nursing, with the support of a Nurse Coordinator and a structured orientation.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver clinical care including triage, immunisations and injections, wound management and chronic disease management
- Perform ECGs, spirometry, audiology, ABIs, iron infusions, occupational health assessments and total body photography for skin checks
- Assist doctors with procedures and maintain accurate clinical documentation
- Coordinate patient recalls and preventative health reminders
- Maintain sterilisation, infection control, cold chain and clinical stock to RACGP standards
About you
- Current, unrestricted AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
- General practice experience, or strong primary care or community nursing experience
- Excellent communication skills across all ages and backgrounds,
with a genuine patient-focused approach
- A versatile, team-first attitude and the ability to work both independently and cooperatively
- Current Police Check, Working with Children Check, professional indemnity insurance
- Nurse Immuniser qualification (highly regarded)
- Experience with care plans, health assessments and MBS billing for nurse-led services (highly regarded)
- Familiarity with Best Practice, HotDoc and Cubiko (highly regarded)
