About the Opportunity

The Retail Assistant plays a vital role in delivering an in-store experience that reflects the values of the Yu Mei brand in our new Sydney Lounge.

This position is responsible for providing exceptional, personalised customer service, maintaining high operational and merchandising standards, and supporting sales and community-building initiatives.

As a key brand ambassador, the Retail Assistant contributes to a welcoming and inclusive retail environment, fostering strong customer relationships and helping to grow a loyal Yu Mei community.

Key responsibilities

- Deliver exceptional, personalised service that reflects the Yu Mei brand and creates memorable customer experiences.

- Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of the Yu Mei brand, including its history, values, and product range.





- Provide outstanding customer service across all channels, building lasting relationships to drive brand loyalty and repeat business.

- Respond promptly and effectively to all customer inquiries, ensuring timely and accurate communication.

- Foster a welcoming and engaging environment for the Yu Mei community and guests; support the planning and execution of VIP events as required.

- Maintain accurate inventory control and consistently meet or exceed operational standards. Process all sales, returns, exchanges, refunds, and repairs with precision.

- Complete all administrative tasks on time and in full compliance with company policies and procedures.

- Contribute to a positive, high-performing team culture by supporting colleagues, promoting inclusivity, and encouraging morale and motivation.

- Uphold premium visual merchandising standards and ensure the retail lounge is always clean, organised, and inviting.

- Take responsibility for store security, including opening and closing procedures and keyholding duties.

About you

- One or more year/s of experience in a similar role is preferred but not required.

- Excellent communication and customer service skills, with a passion for delivering exceptional experiences.

- Proficient in retail and inventory management systems.

- A genuine interest in fashion and luxury retail, with a strong understanding of the Yu Mei brand values, product and community.

- You have a professional manner and attitude, and are ethical, responsible and reliable

- Successful Candidates must have full availability across weekends and Christmas trade period
