Multigate Medical Products is one of Australia and New Zealand's leading manufacturers and suppliers of procedure packs and medical consumables for the public and private hospital markets. We are a family-owned business founded in 1986.
Based in Smithfield, we are currently seeking a Transport Fleet Driver to join our team reporting to the Transport and Fleet Manager. You will be part of a team of professionals responsible for safely transporting goods and materials between different locations. The shift time for this role is 6am to 2pm (flexible).
Tasks & Responsibilities
- Safe operation of vehicles, following all road rules.
- Load and unload goods, ensuring they are secure during transport.
- Keep accurate records of deliveries, mileage, fuel and expenses.
- Conduct regular safety checks, reporting any issues to management.
- Communicate with customers and suppliers to ensure smooth deliveries and resolve issues.
- Follow all safety procedures, including PPE requirements and safe handling of hazardous materials.
- Plan delivery routes and schedules to ensure reliable, organised deliveries.
- Keep the vehicle clean, tidy and well maintained.
- Participate in training and development opportunities to improve skills and knowledge.
Qualifications and Experience
- Current MR or HR driver’s licence and LF forklift licence required.
- Commercial driving experience and a clean driving record preferred.
- Strong understanding of transport regulations, safety requirements and familiarity with GPS and navigation tools.
- Ability to work independently, drive safely and manage multidrop deliveries
- Willingness to work flexible schedule and overtime as needed.
- Able to lift and move heavy objects up to 20 Kg.
