About the Opportunity:

Our client operates within the building services industry and is looking for a skilled Mechanical Electrician to join their Brisbane team. This role is suited to someone who enjoys technical challenges, takes pride in quality workmanship and is interested in developing their expertise across HVAC-related electrical systems and building automation.

What you'll be doing?

- Installing and testing electrical systems: Complete electrical installation, wiring and testing associated with mechanical services and HVAC systems.
- Working across HVAC controls: Assist with electrical works involving HVAC equipment, control systems and associated field devices.
- Reading technical drawings: Interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams and technical drawings to support accurate installation.
- Completing wiring and connections: Carry out wiring, terminations and connections associated with mechanical electrical systems and control equipment.
- Testing and fault-finding: Identify and troubleshoot electrical faults to support reliable system operation.
- Supporting commissioning:



Assist with testing and commissioning activities to ensure systems operate as intended.
- Working with project teams: Coordinate with other trades, site teams and relevant stakeholders to support the successful delivery of projects.
- Maintaining safety and quality: Follow site safety requirements and maintain high standards of workmanship across all tasks.

Who are they looking for?

- A qualified electrician: Holding a current Queensland Electrical Licence, with a strong commitment to secure and quality electrical work.
- Relevant trade experience: Experience in commercial or industrial electrical work is preferred.
- Strong technical ability: Confident with electrical installation, testing, fault-finding and interpreting technical drawings.
- Required certifications: A current White Card and Australian Driver's Licence.
- Attention to detail: Someone who takes pride in their work and consistently delivers high-quality workmanship.
- A proactive approach: Someone who can work independently while contributing positively to a wider team.
- A customer-focused attitude: Professional communication skills and the ability to work effectively with clients and other trades.
- Specialised experience (highly regarded): Experience in HVAC, mechanical electrical, Building Management Systems (BMS), building automation, HVAC controls or mechanical switchboards will be highly regarded.
