Position Overview:
MMFS are on the lookout to recruit qualified and experienced Heavy Diesel Fitter for our project in Kalgoorlie, WA.

Primarily reporting to the site Project Manager/Maintenance Manager you will ensure that the Mechanical maintenance activities associated with the project are undertaken in a protected and timely manner in compliance with all legal, legislative and general duty of care business standards.

Duties include:

- Define the work scope for each job and review with Management.
- Ensure you attain and hold all relevant project and site inductions prior to working on the site.
- Ensure all parts and consumables are ordered and supplied for related jobs and projects.
- Detecting and diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults in engines and parts.
- Dismantling and removing engine assemblies, transmissions, steering mechanisms and other components, and checking parts.
- Repairing and replacing worn and defective parts, reassembling mechanical components, and referring to service manuals as needed.
- Performing scheduled maintenance services, such as oil changes, lubrications and engine tune-ups, to achieve smoother running of vehicles and ensure compliance with pollution regulations.
- Reassembling engines and parts after being repaired.




- Testing and adjusting mechanical parts after being repaired for proper performance.
- Diagnosing and testing parts with the assistance of computers.
- Facilitate as required other technical requirements to assist operations and maintenance, this may include but not limited to operation of equipment.
- Establish and maintain the highest standard in promoting Mancala at all times.

Relevant Experience:

- 5+ years' experience in the mining sector or other similar heavy industry is desirable.
- A mechanical trade qualification is essential.
- Tertiary qualification in Mechanical Engineering desirable.
- Certificate III in Mobile Plant Technology
- Experience in underground metalliferous operations with demonstrated knowledge of mechanical systems used in underground metalliferous equipment. Eg. Drill Rigs, Boggers, Loader, Integrated Tool Carriers.
- Good Breakdown/ Fault Finding capabilities
- Previous mine site experience preferred
- Basic Microsoft office skills
- Ability to pass Pre-employment Medical and National Police Clearance
- Australian Working Rights - Visa/ Residency etc.
