LGC Equipment Hire is a growing WA-owned business providing equipment solutions across construction, infrastructure, utilities, traffic management and maintenance sectors.

We're looking for an experienced and motivated Transport & Logistics Supervisor to lead our transport function, ensuring equipment is delivered, collected and relocated safely, efficiently and on time.

Reporting to the Operations Manager, this role will lead our drivers and transport activities while working closely with our Hire Coordinators to provide exceptional service to customers.

About the Role

As the Transport & Logistics Supervisor, you'll be responsible for coordinating daily transport operations and supervising drivers and Hire Coordinators to ensure equipment movements run smoothly and customer expectations are met.

Key responsibilities

- Oversee daily equipment deliveries, collections and transfers

- Manage driver, vehicle and resource allocation

- Coordinate metropolitan and regional equipment movements

- Handle transport scheduling and respond to operational changes

- Manage fleet and trailer utilisation

- Oversee vehicle servicing, maintenance and defect management

- Maintain transport documentation and compliance records

- Supervise, coach and develop Drivers and Hire Coordinators

- Manage customer and stakeholder communication





- Resolve transport and service-related issues

About You

To be successful in this role, you'll bring:

- Previous experience in transport coordination, logistics, fleet management or equipment hire

- Proven experience supervising and leading operational teams

- Experience scheduling vehicles, equipment or transport resources

- Strong understanding of transport and logistics operations

- Knowledge of Chain of Responsibility and transport compliance requirements

- Understanding of WHS and workplace safety obligations

- Strong planning, organisational and problem-solving skills

- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

- Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment

- Intermediate Microsoft Office skills

Desirable

- Experience in equipment hire, construction, transport or civil industries

- Certificate IV in Transport & Logistics, Leadership & Management or a related discipline

- Understanding of fleet maintenance and asset management
