About the role

We are seeking a Financial Accountant to join our Finance team based in Sydney. In this role, you will be responsible for managing financial operations and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements. You will play a key role in supporting the financial health of Bolton Clarke through accurate financial reporting, reconciliations, compliance activities, budgeting and forecasting.

This position offers the opportunity to join a collaborative team environment and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the finance function.

Sydney-based | Hybrid working arrangement (3 days in office)

Key responsibilities

- Prepare and analyse financial and management reports, including balance sheets, profit and loss statements, cash flow statements and other financial data.
- Provide financial analysis and insights to support business decision-making.
- Support month-end and year-end reporting activities, ensuring key deliverables are completed accurately and on time.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting and financial planning activities.
- Support internal and external audits through the preparation of statutory reports and audit documentation.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, legislative requirements and taxation obligations.
- Complete balance sheet and general ledger reconciliations to maintain financial accuracy.




- Liaise with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to support financial operations and reporting requirements.
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives across the finance function.

About you

To be successful in this role, you will have:

- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or a related discipline.
- CPA or CA qualification (essential).
- 3+ years' experience in a Financial Accountant or similar role.
- Strong financial and management reporting experience.
- Advanced Excel skills and strong financial systems literacy.
- Experience using Microsoft Dynamics 365 or a similar ERP system.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Robust time management and organisational skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Experience within the Aged Care, Health or Community Services sector will be highly regarded.
