About the role

This is a varied, office-based role combining estimating and contract/project administration. You'll work with our Senior Estimator and project team on reviewing construction drawings, specifications and tender documents, completing quantity take-offs from landscape and construction drawings, and assisting with the preparation of project estimates and quotations.

Key responsibilities

- Reviewing construction drawings, specifications and tender documents

- Completing quantity take-offs from landscape and construction drawings

- Assisting with the preparation of project estimates and quotations

- Sending requests for pricing to suppliers and subcontractors

- Comparing and recording supplier quotations

- Maintaining current supplier,



material and subcontractor pricing

- Assisting in the development and maintenance of our estimating price book

- Preparing tender documentation, inclusions, exclusions and supporting information

- Setting up and maintaining project and tender records

- Maintaining contracts, variations and other commercial project documentation

About you

- Strong attention to detail and valuable numerical skills

- Confidence using Excel and computer systems

- Good written and verbal communication

- The ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines

- An understanding of construction and how projects are priced and delivered

- The ability to read construction drawings, or the willingness to learn

- Experience in landscaping, civil or commercial construction would be highly regarded

- Experience with estimating or construction management software would be highly regarded, but is not essential
