Guildford Grammar School is seeking a dynamic and innovative French teacher to join our Preparatory School. The successful candidate will be passionate about student learning and wellbeing, bring a strong understanding of primary education, and have the confidence and capability to teach French across K-6.

The successful candidate will use engaging, age-appropriate teaching practices to deliver French learning experiences across K-6. You will inspire students to develop confidence and enjoyment in learning French while fostering curiosity about language and culture.

This is a 0.8FTE (4 days / week) permanent, part time position commencing at the beginning of Term 1 2027

Key Responsibilities

- Deliver engaging and developmentally appropriate French learning experiences for students from K-6, drawing on effective primary teaching practice and relevant cultural contexts.

- Provide effective feedback to students and families on progress, achievement and engagement in the learning area.

- Actively engage in classroom management strategies to promote optimal engagement in the classroom.

- Promote, monitor and support student wellbeing, working with key stakeholders as necessary to meet the needs of all students.

- Demonstrate a depth of knowledge in differentiation to meet the needs of all students.

About You

- Relevant teaching qualification, with the ability and confidence to teach French across K-6.

- Demonstrated experience or capability in teaching French, supported by sound primary teaching practice.

- Hold current Working with Children Check.

- Hold a current TRBWA registration.

- Proof of Right to Work in Australia.
