About the Role:

We’re Growing — and We’re Looking for Outstanding People. We’re a team that takes pride in doing our best from what each day brings — from high-quality fabrication to safe, well-planned project delivery and installations. We are looking for skilled, qualified, and motivated trades assistants for an immediate start at a brand recent greenfield site near Launceston. Working on a 10 days on 4 days off roster and offering competitive hourly rate with ongoing work through to February 2027.

What we’re looking for
Some workshop or mechanical experience (automotive, manufacturing or similar)
Basic skills using hand and power tools
Driver’s licence
A strong work ethic and willingness to learn
Reliability, punctuality and a team-first attitude
Good communication skills and attention to detail
A strong focus on safety
Ability to read, interpret and apply engineering drawings and technical documents
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Availability to start immediately and work the 10 on / 4 off roster in Launceston

In addition, you must be able to
Pass a pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol screening
Provide GTE with 2 professional references (following interview)
