Upholstery Sewer Making Bedhead Slipcovers and Valances n

This is a dedicated sewing position. You'll sew covers, piping and panels for bedheads, along with valances, from a range of upholstery fabrics. You'll work to set sizes and maintain a high standard of finish.

Key responsibilities

Sew covers, piping and panels for bedheads

n

Sew valances across a range of upholstery fabrics

n

Work mostly to set sizes and also occasional custom items

n

Maintain a high standard of workmanship

n

About you

n

Proven experience sewing on industrial machines, ideally in upholstery, soft furnishings, curtains or similar

n

Accurate, tidy and quality-focused, and happy working independently

n

Reliable, and you live locally or can easily get to Doonan

n

Hill Furnishings is a small, family-run workshop in Doonan making custom upholstered bedheads and valances. Demand is increasing for products that require sewing. We have an industrial walking-foot machine and overlockers. We provide all tools and equipment needed for the job.

Starting casual, a few days a week, with the prospect to move to part time or full time
