Homes & Granny Flats is a growing residential construction company specialising in homes, granny flats and modular building solutions.

We’re looking for a Junior Steel Detailer to join our team. This is a excellent opportunity for someone with some CAD, drafting or steel detailing experience who wants to develop their skills and build a long-term career in the construction industry.

n

You’ll work alongside experienced team members and gain hands‑on experience preparing drawings for real residential and modular construction projects.

About the role n

You’ll assist with:

n

n
Preparing steel detailing and fabrication drawings
n
Reading architectural and engineering drawings
n
Assisting with material take‑offs and steel schedules
n
Making drawing updates and revisions
n
Working with engineers, project managers and the factory team
n
Learning how steel designs translate into real-world construction
n
Keeping drawings and project documentation organised
n

About you n





We're looking for someone who is:

n

n
Keen to learn and develop their detailing skills
n
Comfortable using AutoCAD, Tekla or similar CAD software
n
Able to read and understand technical drawings
n
Detail-focused and accurate
n
Practical and interested in how things are built
n
Reliable, organised and willing to ask questions
n
A good communicator who enjoys working as part of a team
n

n

Previous steel detailing or construction experience is an advantage, but we're more interested in your attitude, ability and willingness to learn.
