nMoor Newcastle East requires a Full time Cook located in Newcastle NSW 2300 with a minimum qualification of Certificate III /IV in Commercial cookery and three years of work experience in a similar role. n
n
nThe ideal candidates will have a strong understanding and knowledge of food and ingredients. You will report directly to the Manager and/or Director of the business however, you will also display strong teamwork skills in the kitchen operation setting. n
n

nDuties and responsibilities: n
n

n• Prepare ingredients to use in cooking by chopping and peeling vegetables & fruits, cutting meat, grinding spices, n
n
n• Prepare and cook food dishes for all types as per menu items n
n
n• Examining food to ensure it meets the quality standard n
n




n• Seasoning food and ingredients n
n
n• Storing food in temperature-controlled facilities n
n
n• Portioning food, placing it on the plates, adding gravies, sauces and garnishes n
n
n• Participating in planning menus and estimating food requirements n
n
n• Assist head chef and train other kitchen staff n
n
n
n
nThe applicant must have. n
n
n• AQF Certificate III in Commercial Cookery n
n
n• Minimum There years of recent Experience as a cook in commercial kitchen n
n
n• Ability to work independently and quick processed environment n
n
n
n

n
nAnnual Salary: 79,534 plus super
