Mechanical Technician – Building ServicesInsight Executive are working exclusively with an established FM service provider who are looking to appoint an experienced Mechanical Technician to join their team on a permanent basis.Location: WiltshireSalary: Up to £40,000 + excellent benefitsContract: Permanent, Full TimeThis is an excellent chance for a qualified Mechanical Technician with a strong background in building services, mechanical maintenance, plumbing, heating or HVAC to join a well-established facilities management operation.You will be responsible for maintaining critical mechanical building services within a large, complex and highly regulated environment, ensuring essential systems remain safe, compliant and operational.The RoleYour responsibilities will include:Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenanceFault-finding, testing, servicing and repairs across mechanical building servicesMaintaining boilers, pumps, heating and chilled water systemsWorking on calorifiers, pressure systems and associated mechanical plantSupporting ventilation systems, including AHUs, extract systems, fans and filtersResponding to plant failures, alarms, leaks and service interruptionsCompleting accurate maintenance records through CAFM systemsWorking in accordance with permits, RAMS,



risk assessments and safe systems of workSupporting emergency and out-of-hours maintenance requirements when requiredAbout YouWe're interested in speaking with Mechanical Technicians who have:A recognised mechanical apprenticeship or equivalent structured trainingA relevant Level 3 qualification such as NVQ, City & Guilds or equivalentExperience within mechanical building services, facilities management, commercial, industrial or similarly regulated environmentsStrong fault-finding and mechanical maintenance experienceExperience with heating, ventilation, pumps, boilers or associated plantAn understanding of safe systems of work, permits and mechanical isolationExperience using CAFM or maintenance management systemsA flexible approach to shift patterns, weekend working and emergency call-outsWhat's on Offer?
