Financial Accountant role in Geelong | $90k + Super

Your new role
Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day finance function while contributing to accurate reporting and process improvement initiatives.Your responsibilities will include:
Assisting with month-end reporting, reconciliations, and financial analysis
Maintaining balance sheet reconciliations and general ledger integrity
Supporting payroll processing and related compliance obligations
Preparing BAS, GST, PAYG, superannuation and other statutory reporting requirements
Assisting with budgeting and forecasting processes
Monitoring cash flow and supporting financial planning activities
Supporting inventory and cost reporting where required
Maintaining financial records within MYOB and related systems
Assisting with process improvements and system enhancements
Providing ad hoc reporting and analysis to support business decision-making




What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:
Relevant tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Finance or Commerce
CPA/CA qualification commenced or completed, or a desire to pursue professional studies
2–4 years' accounting experience in a commercial environment
Solid exposure to month-end processes and financial reporting
Excellent Excel skills and strong attention to detail
Experience using MYOB or similar accounting systems
Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
A proactive attitude with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
Manufacturing, FMCG, or inventory-based industry experience will be highly regarded
