People & Culture Officer

An opportunity has become available for an experienced HR Officer to join a well-established not-for-profit organisation based in Leederville.
Supporting a collaborative People & Culture team, you will play a key role in delivering generalist HR support across the employee lifecycle while contributing to a positive and people-focused workplace culture.This temporary assignment requires an immediate start and offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact within an organisation that is dedicated to supporting the local community.
Your New Role
Reporting to the People & Culture Manager, your responsibilities will include:
Providing day-to-day HR support and advice to managers and employees
Preparing employment contracts, variations and HR documentation
Managing onboarding and offboarding processes
Maintaining employee records and HR systems
Supporting recruitment activities, including advertising, screening and interview coordination
Assisting with performance management, employee relations and policy administration
Responding to HR enquiries and ensuring compliance with employment legislation and organisational procedures
Supporting People & Culture projects and continuous improvement initiatives




What You'll Need to Succeed
To be successful, you will demonstrate:
Previous experience in a HR Officer, HR Coordinator or HR Administration role
Strong understanding of contemporary HR practices and employment legislation
Exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail
Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
Proficiency across Microsoft Office and HRIS platforms
The ability to work autonomously and manage competing priorities
Availability to commence immediately
