An established not-for-profit organisation is seeking an experienced Payroll Officer to join its collaborative payroll team on a fixed-term contract through to July ****.

Your new role
Reporting to the Payroll Team Leader, you will play a key role in delivering accurate and timely payroll services while providing exceptional support to internal stakeholders.
Assist with end-to-end payroll processing for a large workforce
Process payroll changes including commencements, variations and terminations
Review and validate timesheets prior to payroll processing
Maintain accurate employee payroll records and documentation
Respond to payroll enquiries from employees and managers
Prepare payroll reports and assist with payroll reconciliations
Support workers compensation administration and reconciliations
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across payroll processes
Ensure compliance with awards, enterprise agreements and legislative requirements
Provide high-quality customer service to a broad range of stakeholders




What you'll need to succeed
Previous payroll experience in a high-volume environment
Strong payroll data entry and administration skills
Experience working with multiple awards and enterprise agreements
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
Advanced customer service and stakeholder management skills
Strong Excel and Microsoft Office capabilities
Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
A proactive approach with a continuous improvement mindset
Experience with payroll systems such as Preceda or similar platforms highly regarded
Exposure to time and attendance systems advantageous
