They are a registered NDIS provider and provide therapy supports under the Specialist Disability Support in Schools Program (SDSS).
They are a multidisciplinary team of Speech Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, and Psychologists.Position Description:The Occupational Therapist plays a critical role in delivering high-quality therapy services to individuals eligible for services who require support for developmental delays or disabilities.
This role focuses on:Enhancing clients' intellectual, emotional, and social well-being through targeted interventionsConduct assessments, develop therapy plans, and implement interventions based on individual client needs.Deliver tele-therapy and/or face to face services across various settings, including home, community, and educational environmentsMaintain client records and prepare reports in compliance with organisation and regulatory standardsCollaborate with families, caregivers, educators,



and multidisciplinary teams to develop and review intervention strategiesAdvise on specialist equipment and assistive technology to support client developmentSupport clients in achieving their goals and facilitate their inclusion in everyday community and educational activitiesEnsure adherence to evidence-based best practices and uphold professional standards in service deliveryEstablish and support strong relationships with clients, families, external professionals, educators, and community organisationsAct as a key point of contact for external agencies and stakeholders within the therapy disciplineAdvocate for the importance of early intervention and the role of therapy in long-term client outcomesEnsure compliance with all organisation policies, legal requirements, and professional regulationsPrevent and report any form of client abuse or harm in accordance with policiesMaintain accurate documentation, case notes, and reports to support service accountability and funding requirementsPosition Requirements:Relevant Degree (Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree related field)Current AHPRA registrationCurrent driver's LicenseNDIS Worker Clearance.Technical Skills & ExperienceStrong clinical expertise in assessing and treating clients with developmental delay or disabilitiesExperience in supervising, mentoring, and training therapy staff and students.High level of caseload management and organization skillsAdvanced ability to provide professional advice and leadership within a multidisciplinary teamStrong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to engage with clients, families, and external stakeholders effectivelyAbout Stanthorpe:The Practice provides support primarily in Stanthorpe and surrounding areas as well as Texas (outreach) and Killarney.
