Bakers and Pastrycooks SPOOR FAMILY PTY LTD (as trustee for Diamond Dough No 2 Trust) t/a Cruz The BakehouseJob Type: Permanent position | Full time positionJob DescriptionOur client, SPOOR FAMILY PTY LTD (as trustee for Diamond Dough No 2 Trust), is seeking an experienced Baker to join the team at Cruz The Bakehouse, an established bakery and café located in Bundaberg, Queensland.Cruz The Bakehouse produces a wide range of fresh bakery products, including breads, pastries, cakes, pies, slices, muffins and other baked goods.
The business is seeking a skilled Baker who can contribute to the daily production of quality bakery products and work effectively within a busy commercial bakery setting.These are full-time positions offering an annual salary of $75,000-$85,000 AUD plus superannuation, negotiable for the right candidates based on experience and qualifications.
Key Responsibilities:Weigh, measure, and mix ingredients to produce CruzThe Bakehouse's wide range of breads, pastries, and baked goods.Glaze buns and decorate cakes, pastries, and slices using icings, creams, and toppings to CruzThe Bakehouse standards.Monitor ingredient and supply stock levels and place orders in line with CruzThe Bakehouse budget and operational needs.Participate in new product development,



contributing to CruzThe Bakehouse menu updates and seasonal pastry offerings.Ensure strict compliance with all food safety, hygiene, and WHS regulations across all stages of production at CruzThe Bakehouse.Operate, clean, and maintain commercial bakery equipment at CruzThe Bakehouse, ensuring it is used safely and effectively.Monitor dough development, proofing, baking times, and product quality throughout CruzThe Bakehouse production.Maintain accurate production records, batch information, and daily operational schedules for CruzThe Bakehouse.Keep the CruzThe Bakehouse workspace clean, sanitised, and well-organised at all times.Assist with the recruitment, onboarding, training, and mentoring of junior bakery staff at CruzThe Bakehouse as required.
Requirements:Trade qualifications in baking, pastry-making, or culinary arts.Minimum of 2-3 years' professional experience in a similar bakery or pastry setting.Strong eye for detail and creativity in presentation.Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.Availability for split shifts, including weekend work.Willingness to relocate to Bundaberg if based elsewhere.
