Accounts Payable / Credit Control OfficerAlliance Distribution Services - Tuggerah NSWWe are seeking an experienced and motivated Accounts Payable / Credit Control Officer to join our growing team.
This is a hands-on role that requires a strong understanding of both accounts payable and debtor management, along with excellent communication skills and a customer-focused approach.The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining supplier relationships, managing customer accounts, and supporting the finance function through accurate and timely processing.Key ResponsibilitiesAccounts PayableEnd-to-end processing of supplier invoicesSupplier statement reconciliationsPreparation and processing of payment runsManaging supplier enquiries and resolving discrepanciesEnsuring accurate coding and allocation of expensesMaintaining vendor records and compliance documentationCredit ControlProactive collection of overdue customer accountsManaging customer account enquiries and payment arrangementsBuilding strong relationships with customers to ensure timely paymentsReviewing credit limits and account statusesInvestigating and resolving account disputesMaintaining accurate debtor records and reporting on aged receivablesGeneral Finance SupportAccount reconciliationsAssisting with month-end processesData analysis and reportingSupporting the finance team with ad hoc duties as requiredAbout YouTo be successful in this role, you will have:Minimum 5 years' experience in Accounts Payable and/or Credit ControlStrong knowledge of accounts payable procedures and debtor managementExcellent telephone communication skills with confidence dealing directly with customers and suppliersStrong negotiation and relationship-building skillsHigh level of accuracy and attention to detailAbility to work independently and manage competing prioritiesIntermediate to Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including functions, data analysis and reportingProfessional and customer-focused approachStrong organisational and problem-solving abilitiesWhat We OfferSupportive and collaborative team environmentOngoing training and development opportunitiesIf you are an experienced finance skilled who enjoys building relationships, solving problems, and taking ownership of accounts payable and credit control functions, we would love to hear from you.
