Job Description
Classifying and compiling of a variety of commodities within the customs tariffLiaising with shipping lines, airlines, freight forwarders and government bodies when necessaryProviding a high level of customer service at all timesTroubleshooting any queries with clients and internal departmentsEnsuring consignments are cleared in an productive and timely mannerOn-going supportive role of day to day customs entry processes supporting the Operational customs Manager to achieve constant improvementEnsure the department has the necessary tools & resources to achieve assigned tasks in a quality/efficient manner.Actively participate in the recruitment and development of team members – including mentoring, coaching, challenging and evaluating team members
About you:
Minimum of 2 years' experience in Customs Compiling and Classifying, or currently undertaking/completed a recognised Customs courseProficiency in CargoWise One is essentialSolid understanding of the Customs Tariff and related regulationsCompetent in using Microsoft Office applicationsStrong verbal and written communication skillsAbility to work independently with minimal supervisionHighly organised with strong attention to detailEffective time management skills and ability to prioritise tasksProven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
