Favour and Care DSP is seeking compassionate and dedicated Disability Support Workers to join our team in Werribee, VIC.

As a Disability Support Worker, you will provide essential support services to individuals with varying disabilities, helping them to achieve greater independence, social inclusion, and quality of life.
This role is fundamental to our mission of delivering person-centered support that empowers our clients to live fulfilling lives within their communities.Key responsibilitiesProviding direct personal care and support to clients with disabilities, including assistance with activities of daily living such as personal hygiene, meal preparation, and mobilitySupporting clients to participate in community activities, social outings, and recreational pursuits that promote inclusion and wellbeingAssisting clients with life skills development, including budgeting, shopping, cooking, and other practical tasks that enhance independenceMaintaining detailed and accurate records of client support sessions and any observations or concernsBuilding positive relationships with clients based on trust, respect, and understanding of their individual needs and goalsCommunicating effectively with clients, their families, and other members of the care team to ensure coordinated and consistent supportFollowing established policies, procedures, and safety protocols to ensure the wellbeing and protection of clientsRespecting client confidentiality and maintaining skilled boundaries in all interactionsSupporting clients to advocate for themselves and participate in decisions about their own care and supportWhat we're looking forA genuine passion for supporting people with disabilities and a commitment to person-centered careExcellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and trust with clients from diverse backgroundsPhysical capability to provide hands-on support and assist clients with mobility and personal care as requiredReliability and punctuality, with the ability to manage a flexible casual scheduleA current and valid Working with Children Check (WWC) or willingness to obtain oneA current and valid disability services worker clearance (NDIS check) or willingness to obtain oneAbility to work independently and as part of a team in a supportive, collaborative environmentSound judgment and problem-solving skills to respond appropriately to client needs and unexpected situationsA commitment to maintaining confidentiality and upholding professional standardsRelevant qualifications or experience in aged and disability support are preferred, including Certificate III or higher in Disability Support, Aged Care, or related fieldA current First Aid and CPR certification is advantageousWhat we offerAt Favour and Care DSP, we value our staff and recognize the important work you do.
