The OpportunityWe are seeking a Group Financial Accountant to shape intercompany accounting and group consolidation as SUBCO scales internationally.
You'll ensure accurate financial reporting across multiple entities and multiple jurisdictions, prepare consolidated financial statements, and ensure compliance with statutory and audit requirements.This is technically rigorous work where your expertise directly enables accurate financial reporting for a growing infrastructure business.
As SUBCO grows this role will grow with the business giving you an opportunity to develop frameworks and processes rather than inheriting them.
You'll work as part of an experienced Finance Team, tackle complex consolidation challenges, and build financial infrastructure that supports our expansion across the Indo-Pacific region.What you'll doOwn and maintain the intercompany accounting frameworkManage intercompany transactions, reconciliations,



and balance eliminations to ensure accuracy across all entitiesPrepare group consolidated financial statements across key reporting jurisdictionsDevelop and maintain consolidation models and elimination entries to translate intercompany activity into group reportingCoordinate with external auditors, prepare audit schedules, and support the external audit processPrepare statutory compliance reporting and financial analysis for management and stakeholdersMaintain Wiise ERP system data integrity and configurations to support accurate intercompany and consolidation processesAbout youTertiary qualification in Finance, Accounting or CommerceCPA or CA qualificationStrong reporting and compliance background with expertise in statutory financial statement preparationExperience in a group or consolidated reporting workplace across multiple entitiesStrong understanding of intercompany accounting, elimination entries, and consolidation principlesExperience preparing financial statements and supporting external auditsBig 4 or mid-tier audit firm experience (preferred)Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP systemsMeticulous attention to detail and analytical capability; able to identify discrepancies and resolve complex consolidation matterStrong organisational and time management skills with ability to prioritize and manage competing deadlinesExcellent communicator who builds effective relationships across finance and business teamsTelecommunications, infrastructure, or multi-entity group experience (strongly preferred)Why you'll love working at SUBCOWork alongside industry thought leaders, and contribute to infrastructure projects critical to Australia's futureHybrid work model (3 days in office, 2 from home)Birthday day off, need we say more?
