Boco Rock Wind Farm, located 10km south west of Nimmitabel and 30km north of Bombala in NSW, is looking for a Field Service Technician to join the team.
With 67 GE ******* turbines, operating since **** and generating up to 113MW of clean energy!
This is not a FIFO or DIDO role, must be based locally to the wind farm.Essential ResponsibilitiesPerform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on turbines and site infrastructureFollow GE manuals, specifications, and work instructions to perform assigned tasks and inspectionsConduct maintenance, fault finding, and high voltage switching operations as requiredParticipate in annual maintenance, retrofit works, major component exchanges, and fault findingUse GE software tools to maintain reports and submit technical queriesEnsure compliance with JSA, LOTO, EHS policies, and report issues promptlyMake a conformance or non-conformance decision upon completion of inspectionsReport errors, violations, incidents, or problems immediately using GE reporting systemsEmbrace a 37.5-hour work week, with opportunities for overtime as approved and participate in on-call rosters for after-hours or weekend work as directedQualifications, Requirements & CompetenciesQualified Electrician or Mechanical trade certificationProficient in fault finding (electrical, mechanical,



and hydraulic equipment)Proficient in using computer systems and tools for monitoring work and managing documentationStrong written and verbal communication skills in EnglishA current unrestricted driver's licenseAbility to complete physically demanding tasks at heights, comfortable with heights (you'll be climbing turbines, so you've got to have a head for heights and a love for fresh air!)A commitment to the highest safety standards, high performance, continuous improvement and delivering the right solutionsIndependent, solutions-focused, and well-organized in managing tasksOpen to travel to other sites as requiredMust hold appropriate working rights for Australia at the time of your applicationDesired CharacteristicsPrevious experience in renewables, power distribution, mining, oil & gas or other heavy industry (preferred but not essential).
GWO Basic Training (preferred but not essential, training will be provided).
High Voltage Switching Operations (preferred but not essential, training may be provided).
HRWL including Dogging, Rigging (Advanced), Forklift, EWP (not essential, training may be provided).
