From AFL match days to concerts, international sport, major events, functions and precinct experiences, your work helps bring millions of patrons together and deliver memorable moments in the heart of Melbourne.The opportunityHelp keep Marvel Stadium, AFL House and the surrounding precinct safe, secure and operational around the clock.As the Stadium and Precinct Services Lead, you will be the central coordination point for access control, security monitoring, integrated building systems and incident response during your rostered shift.This full-time role operates across a rotating 24/7 roster and provides on-shift leadership to contractor security personnel.
You will make sound real-time decisions, coordinate operational activity and help maintain continuity across event, non-event and after-hours periods.What You'll OwnYou will lead the Service Entry control function during rostered shifts, maintaining a safe, responsive and well-coordinated operating environment.You'll Add Value ThroughLeading on-shift security operations, venue inspections and patrols across the stadium, AFL House and surrounding precinctMonitoring CCTV, access control, alarms, fire panels, duress systems and integrated building management systemsManaging pedestrian, vehicle and restricted-area access, including keys, passes, temporary credentials and access recordsResponding to incidents and emergencies, coordinating escalations and engaging emergency services where requiredMonitoring critical infrastructure and coordinating the escalation of system faults, damage and maintenance requirementsDirecting contractor security personnel,



allocating tasks and supporting consistent operational standardsMaintaining accurate incident logs, shift reports, handovers, access lists and other operational documentationSupporting event preparation, venue readiness, car park operations, venue tours and Marvel Stadium 365 activationsCoordinating the transition of control room systems to Event Control when requiredReviewing and sharing CCTV footage with authorised internal stakeholders to support incident debriefs and investigationsWhat You'll BringDemonstrated experience leading or coordinating security operations, control room environments or similar operational functionsExperience operating CCTV, access control or building management systemsExperience working within a complex, high-volume or 24/7 operational environmentThe ability to work independently, exercise sound judgement and make effective decisions in real timeStrong situational awareness and the ability to manage competing priorities under pressureClear written and verbal communication skills across a range of stakeholdersA high level of accuracy in operational reporting, documentation and systems managementConfidence directing or coordinating contractors and operational service providersA current Victorian Security LicenceCurrent First Aid and CPR certificationA valid employee Working with Children CheckAvailability to work a rotating 24/7 roster, including nights, weekends and public holidaysWhy you'll love being on our teamAt the AFL, you will be part of a values-led team that aims high, backs each other and brings energy, care and integrity to work that matters.
