This position combines hands-on bookkeeping with regular client contact and opportunities to improve how financial information is maintained and delivered.
Working alongside accountants in a contemporary East Brisbane office, you'll have colleagues available to discuss queries and coordinate client work.
We will also consider a permanent part-time arrangement.
The Role Manage end-to-end bookkeeping and financial administration across a portfolio of clients.
Responsibilities include: Maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring data integrity Managing payroll, PAYG and superannuation obligations Completing bank, balance sheet and other account reconciliations Preparing and lodging BAS and IAS Working closely with clients to improve bookkeeping processes and systems Supporting automation, software optimisation and other process improvements Acting as a trusted point of contact for day-to-day financial queries Coordinating with accountants to support accurate and timely client delivery What You'll Bring At least two years of bookkeeping experience,



ideally within an accounting practice or professional services environment Advanced proficiency in Xero Strong working knowledge of MYOB or equivalent accounting software Experience managing payroll, PAYG, superannuation, reconciliations and BAS/IAS Strong attention to detail and an understanding of sound bookkeeping processes Clear communication skills and confidence dealing directly with clients Ability to manage multiple clients, deadlines and competing priorities A proactive approach to resolving queries and improving systems What's On Offer $75,000 to $90,000 + superannuation, pro rata for part-time Permanent employment, with full-time or part-time arrangements considered Office-based role in East Brisbane Varied client work with autonomy and responsibility Access to experienced accountants and Partners Regular career development opportunities Contemporary office close to public transport Street parking available Long-term opportunity within an established, family-run practice About Our Client Our client is an established boutique accounting firm in East Brisbane, supporting businesses and individuals with accounting, taxation, bookkeeping, business advisory, and SMSF services.
