Property Claims ConsultantSouth-East Melbourne | $80,000–$120,000 + Super + BonusAn established and highly regarded insurance brokerage is looking for an experienced Property Claims Consultant to join its team in Melbourne's south-east.This is an opportunity to take ownership of a portfolio of property claims while working closely with brokers, clients, insurers and loss adjusters.
The role would suit someone with solid property claims experience gained within an insurance brokerage or agency who understands the importance of strong communication, technical claims management and delivering positive outcomes for clients.The RoleYou will be responsible for managing property claims from notification through to resolution, including:Managing a mixed portfolio which will be predominantly made up of property claims from notification through to settlementHandling commercial claims across a range of client risksLiaising with clients, brokers, insurers, loss adjusters, builders and other claims stakeholdersAssessing claims, reviewing policy coverage and monitoring progressCoordinating repairs, assessments,



reports and settlement processesNegotiating with insurers and service providers where requiredKeeping clients and brokers updated throughout the claims processIdentifying and resolving issues to ensure claims progress efficientlyMaintaining accurate claims records and providing a high level of serviceWorking closely with the broader broking team to support positive client outcomesAbout YouProven Property Claims experience within an insurance brokerage or agency is essentialStrong understanding of commercial property insurance and claims processesExperience managing claims from notification through to settlementConfident dealing with insurers, loss adjusters, clients and other stakeholdersStrong communication and negotiation skillsAbility to manage a portfolio independently and prioritise competing claimsStrong attention to detail and a solutions-focused approachProfessional, proactive and client-focused mannerWhat's on OfferWork close to home and avoid public transport!
