Donations Associate
SUMMARY OF POSITION
Donation Associates are responsible for greeting all donors/customers in a friendly and courteous manner.
The Donation Associate is responsible for accepting donations, assisting with unloading donations, and presorting donations.
The Donations Associate is expected to be courteous and professional while upholding the Goodwill values of -Empowerment, Public Trust, Respect, Innovation, Quality, and Safety.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES, AND DUTIES
Accept donations from the general public and assist in sorting based on established program guidelinesProvide donation receipt upon request from the donorProvide excellent customer serviceMaintains a clean, organized work area that is presentable to the general public and meets agency standardsAttend scheduled meetings as requiredPerform custodial duties as necessary Adhere to and enforce all safety and loss prevention procedures to prevent injury to others or him/herself and damage to any property, equipment,



and/or inventoryEmbrace the core values of the agency in the spirit in which the agency operates at work and in the communityContribute to the fulfillment of department and agency objectives and goalsComply with all department and agency policies, procedures, and regulationsPerform other duties as assigned
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Demonstrate a qualified mannerism with a high degree of customer service skillsAbility to communicate effectively with internal employees and external customers Ability to work well with others in a respectful and collaborative work mannerAbility to comprehend and follow instructionsAbility to read, and write with the ability to comprehend and complete agency forms as required for operational purposesBilingual preferred but not required
PHYSICAL FUNCTIONS
Ability to stand, walk, climb, kneel, stoop, bend, and crouch for extended periodsWeather conditions – variable – including extreme heat and cold, may work outside for extended periodsAbility to work in a humid and/or dusty environmentAble to lift and carry up to 25 lbs.
