SIL Junior Systems Administrator

This is a rare opportunity to join a growing defence technology environment where you'll gain hands-on experience supporting secure ICT systems, enterprise infrastructure, and cutting-edge engineering programs.
Working within Hanwha Defence Australia's (HDA) Systems Integration Laboratory (SIL) from our Avalon facility.
You will gain hands-on experience supporting, administering, and maintaining classified ICT systems while learning from experienced technical professionals.
This is a unique opportunity to join a greenfield environment, where you will play a key role in helping establish and support new systems and processes from the ground up.
Whether you're a recent graduate or have recently completed an IT qualification, this role will give you the opportunity to learn, grow, and build a long-term career in the defence industry.
What You'll Be Doing:
Supporting Windows and Linux-based systems and networks
Assisting with server, workstation and virtual machine administration




Learning enterprise technologies including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP and Group Policy
Supporting software deployment, patch management and infrastructure maintenance
Contributing to cyber security, monitoring and system improvements
Working with technical specialists on exciting and meaningful defence projects
About You:
Recently completed or currently completing a qualification in IT, Computer Science, Engineering or a related field
Passionate about technology and eager to learn
Strong problem-solving and communication skills
Exposure to Windows, Linux, networking, scripting or cybersecurity is highly regarded
Able to work collaboratively in a structured and professional

Eligibility:
To be successful in this role, youmust be an Australian Citizenand be eligible to obtain an Australian Government Security Clearance (NV1).
