RN - Sarina Hospital - Acute / Emergency
Sarina Hospital is seeking experienced Registered Nurses to join its Acute and Emergency ward on a six-week contract basis.
This is a Grade 5 position starting 12 October **** in Sarina, Queensland, offering the chance to work in a dynamic rural healthcare setting.
The role operates on a rotating 8-hour shift pattern, including on-call shifts, with a maximum of 80 hours per fortnight.
Two positions are available for nurses ready to make an immediate impact in a quick-paced acute care environment.
Six-week contract placement in rural acute and emergency nursing
Rotating 8-hour shifts with on-call components, maximum 80 hours per fortnight

Preferred Requirements




Demonstrated experience in rural nursing practice
Solid background in emergency department work and triage assessment
Ability to work flexibly across rotating shifts and on-call rosters
Robust clinical communication and teamwork skills in a high-acuity environment
Willingness to adapt to local systems and protocols in a regional hospital setting
Preferred Qualifications
Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
Previous experience with Queensland Health systems, ieMR, FirstNet, PowerChart, or HBCIS is highly valued
Prior placement or employment with Mackay Hospital and Health Service or other Queensland Health facilities is advantageous
