Kalkoup Community Care is seeking an experienced and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our close-knit team providing in-home care for a child with complex medical needs.
n
This role is perfect for a nurse who wants to use their specialist tracheostomy skills and paediatric experience to provide high-quality, person-centred care in a calm home workplace while being supported by a small, connected, nurse-led team that values flexibility, wellbeing and balance.
n
We are currently looking for two nurses who can cover the below shifts (with the option to take on more, if desired)
n
n
Afternoon Shift (4pm – 9pm) Thursday and (1pm – 5pm) Saturday
n
Night Shift (10pm – 8am) Saturday
n
Day Shift (9am – 5pm) Sunday
n
n
About the role
n
You'll provide specialised clinical support for a child living with complex medical needs, including:
n
n
Tracheostomy management (suctioning, tube changes, and airway emergencies)
n
Seizure response and medication administration
n
Enteral feeding (PEG) and monitoring
n
Oxygen therapy and respiratory support
n
Accurate and timely shift documentation
n
n




Who we're looking for
n
n
Current AHPRA registration (Registered Nurse)
n
Minimum 1 year of paediatric acute or community experience
n
Confident and skilled in tracheostomy care – this is essential
n
Experience with seizure management, PEG feeding, and oxygen therapy
n
Current First Aid & CPR (HLTAID011), WWCC, National Police Clearance, WA Driver's Licence
n
Someone caring, calm under pressure, and great at communicating with families
n
